Vinegar

I used to turn my nose up when my mom would mention all the uses for vinegar. I'm finding that it is wonderful stuff. I will give you a few of the ones I have found and tried and some I haven't tried as of yet.

Drains:
Take a half to a cup of baking soda and pour down drain followed by vinegar. Watch it fizzle. Kids will love watching this. It will clean out gunk in your sink plus take away that yucky smell. I tell you it works great in garbage disposals.

Windows:
Ok most know about this one. Take equal parts of vinegar and water and put in a spray bottle. Spray and wipe with newspapers. Watch the shine!

Water marks on wood:
Rings resulting of not using coasters on a wood surface can be removed by using a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and olive oil. Remember to rub with the grain to get the best results.

Get rid of pests on pets:
Use a teaspoon of white vinegar for each quart bowl of drinking water for the pet. The ratio of one teaspoon to one quart is for forty pound animal. This will help keep your pet free of fleas and ticks.  I have not tried this yet and plan on doing it today since we live in the south and have an outside dog.

Fabric softener:
Use a cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle of your laundry. Your closes will come out soft. Plus this is good for your washer. Two things at once!

Fruit and vegetable wash:
Add two tablespoons of white vinegar to one pint water and put in spray bottle. Spray for bacteria free fruits and veggies.

This is just a few of the things you can use vinegar for. The list is endless! Why use expensive chemical filled products you get at the store when you can just use plain ole vinegar!

Laundry Soap

I'm not sure about you but it bothers me to buy laundry soap. It has gotten very expensive. I don't like the cheaper versions of laundry soap just because for me it does not seem to get my clothes clean. So needless to say I would end up buying the expensive brand. The one I would use did not always have coupons. I saw a recipe for laundry soap online. So I thought I would try it. Hey, I thought what did I have to loose?! It could not be any worse than some of the cheaper brands. I loved how it smelled right off. My clothes came out clean and smelled nice. Not a very strong perfume smell either...a nice clean smell. I was sold! Another good thing is that you do not use much. Only 1 to 2 Tablespoons per load. It takes some getting used to because it does not suds. That part is better for you washing machine. Plus if you have a HE washer than you can use it in it. I can not imagine using any other kind now. I have enclosed a picture of the some that I plan on selling. The large denim bag has a paper bag inside holding 3 cups of laundry soap. This is about 32 - 64 loads, depending how much you use. The denim bag can be used as a lunch bag. If someone doesn't want to commit to a large bag of laundry soap the small container is what they might like to try. It has a total of 2 Tablespoons in it. Just enough for 1 or 2 loads.

Please stay tuned for a way where you can buy this lovely stuff. This is for the ones that want to use it but do not have the time or even want to make it themselves.

**What is coming**
